I'm contacting you, and a few others, to let you know that I'm going to Kowloon tomorrow. Just in case something happens. Not that I think it will, but... well, you never know, right? I don't spend a lot of time there, but it has a bad reputation. And I've heard they aren't very friendly towards Meris. [ even though it's below Springstar... ]
[Ah, Bondrewd. The disconcerting man who wore his face when they spoke. It's obvious from the feeling he's giving off that his opinion on Bondrewd isn't entirely positive, even if they are on the same side.]
...Be on your guard. I'm aware that shard experimentation goes on in Kowloon.
Don't worry. I'm not so easy to take down. I'm just letting a few people know as a precaution. [ and as he says that, Link's calm and confident demeanor returns to him. ]
When I get back, let's meet up for that celebration. I still need to tell you all about Hyrule.
[ Very suddenly, there’s a sense of Communion touching your character’s mind. However, it’s as if they connect with the mind of a shared Aspect, as they’re not able to block out the brief, but sharp memory that comes to them. ]
The dusk of Springstar’s sunset cast long shadows, and a Shard-Bearer couldn't help but feel that, like those shadows, they too were stretched and altered by their new existence. When they go home, would anyone even recognize what they’ve become?
[ ooc note — Just to avoid OOC confusion/misinterpretation, the details included in this memory are random and are not necessarily interconnected or plot meaningful beyond a surface level. However, your character is free to interpret this random memory however they’d like! This event will also be touched on somewhat during today’s NPC Communion Post. ]
[ Link's Communion explodes into Cid's mind with more force and detail than anyone else. Where other Zenites are blasted with it suddenly, like the opening of a window during a hurricane, it hits Cid twice as hard thanks to their shared Aspect. It rushes in with an intense and primal sense of panic, a mixture of both fight and flight, and the horror of knowing that neither has worked. A certain death is imposing down on him. If you've died before, you'll likely recognize this potent cocktail of desperation that's suddenly flooding your mind. But unlike the flashing of one's life in the moment before the end, this moment is filled with purpose — unfocused and clumsy, but desperately bold and determined. The message is not conveyed in words, but in feelings and impressions, unbound by the limitations of language and becoming that much more distinct and impossible to misinterpret. ]
Get away from the Manor.
Get out of Highstorm if you can.
The Meridian —
[ ...and then, it's gone. Both the message and the roaring sensations that carry it halt abruptly, like the slamming of a door — but, even a slammed door makes a sharp noise as it shuts, sends a gust of wind as it moves on its hinges. This sudden stop doesn't come with anything, no friction, no echo, not even the intentionality of closing a Communion once a person has said what they meant to say. Just stillness. ]
mid-september, communion
[ Link's mental voice emerges from the other side of an opening Communion between their minds, soft and neutral. ]
...Sorry I never invited you out. I didn't end up going anywhere to celebrate. I passed out in my room, to be honest. But, um, are you busy?
no subject
[By contrast, his tone has an edge of cheer to it, grateful to hear from Link again.]
I'm not, no.

You're not going alone, are you?

I am. I'm going there to meet Bondrewd.
I still have an item of his, from the Oracle.

Certainly. I want to hear all about it.
